about 80 hours to see absolutely everything. But all of these are the most surface level aspect of these characters, there's far more depth to them, you just have to play for. The characters are the undeniable highlight of this game, from your very first party member Erik to the villain turned hero Hendrik, and everybody in between are all full of personality and charm, while they may initially feel like they fit in to very bland archetypes Erik is the rugged thief, Jade is the overprotective best friend, Serena is the weak healer.
The music, finally given the orchestral makeover it desperately needed is equally beautiful and makes you wanna go kick a comically evil bad guy in the face.
Not surprising to anybody that the visual style is beautiful, Akira Toriyama's unmistakable style blends flawlessly with the world design. Maybe not the best Dragon Quest game, but it is damn high up there. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.
